Originally, I was was going to create a surreal image inviolving the close up of birds. Then my idea evolved to using a long shot of birds. I thought that this would be easier to work with and it would be a lot easier to turn into a surreal photo. My idea was to make the birds look like they are held captive. Ususally when one looks at the sky and they see a flock of birds, the associate them with freedom and nature in its truest form. My idea was to challenge this vision by creating an image that demonstrates the exact opposite. What I have created is an image of a flock of birds which are constrained by humans. When others look at my photo, I hope that they are able to think of the ways that humans limit nature.
