I chose this topic because I wanted to emphasize the amount of time that teenage girls spend to make themselves look beautiful. I find that this is a part of most girls everyday life. Most people do not realize or acknowledge how much effort it takes for a girl to get ready.
Before the beginning of the shoot, I had a different idea. I was planning on portraying the cost of beauty. I would have taken photos of different types of makeup and their prices. However, I decided to change my idea to the process of getting ready. During the shoot, I had to set up lighting because I took the picutes in a bedroom, and even though the blinds were open, it was fairly dark outside. One thing that worked for me during the shoot was the colour of the wall. I really liked the bright green colour and it made the photo more eyecatching.
